Responsible Sourcing

Sourcing feedstock from waste materials

AEG sources feedstock for CoalSwitch™ from waste materials. The lumber operations at Lumberton were established to secure a feedstock supply for CoalSwitch™, as it provides ready waste resources with materials available for sourcing within ninety minutes of the Lumberton site.

AEG’s production of next generation biomass fuels is complemented by other environmentally friendly initiatives including developing complimentary biomass fuels utilising alternate waste residual resources such as chicken litter.

Having the benefit of the existing wastewater treatment facility provides additional opportunities for AEG to look at additional environmental technologies to clean waste liquids.
